Other Details to Note

About your hosts: Thank you for your interest in our cabin! Since 1999, our family has gathered here at The Cove at Doublehead each summer to unwind and just be together. Our daughters are young adults now (our oldest got married at The Lodge here at Doublehead in 2024!) and have lifelong memories of being here with us, their grandparents, cousin, aunt and uncle. Seasons change and we are grateful to be a part of continuing this family tradition by owning our very own cabin right next door to family. We want to share this blessing by opening up our cabin for others to enjoy, make memories, and begin their own family traditions. When we had to choose a name for our cabin, as hosts we could think of no better name. Welcome to A Family Tradition.

Another perfect stay in this beautiful cabin. This is becoming a Mother’s Day tradition for us. Sweet memories were made again this year with babies growing up and another year with my 80 yr old precious mother.

Kellie’s place is better than pictures! It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved tying our boat at the dock. Fish weren’t biting but we had fun out in the water. We had my husbands service animal( who loves to swim and all things water) and our pet dachshunds Mattie and Willow. Loved having the deck gated with a ramp. Finley loved jumping off the dock for his beloved frisbee. The only difficulty we had was swimming back he had to have us haul him out of the water. She left a great goodie basket and starter stuff such as trash bag, laundry detergent, dishwasher & dish detergent, toilet paper , ect…. we would definitely return. I especially appreciated how clean it was.

Kellie’s property was beautiful, perfectly located and very clean. We loved sitting on the back porch watching the sunsets and relaxing. Fishing off the pier and having our boat close was great. Kellie was nice to communicate with and left goodies for us to enjoy while there. Would recommend Kellie’s place to visit and we hope to go back.

Wonderful stay at A Family Tradition on Wilson Lake! Watching the wildlife from the porch was our favorite and the dock was perfect for launching our kayaks. We had absolutely everything we needed. The older kids especially loved the campfire and s’mores.
